When we were kids we loved to play "baril-barilan". We fabricated our own "firearm" from scrap lumber and plastic parts from food containers and held together with rubber bands, nails and twine. My favorite weapon was a "Thompson" and I painstakingly put the parts together. It served me well and held up to the rigors of battle we waged in the mountains and in empty classrooms. That was when I was 10 years old.
I hope I can still play "baril-barilan". But this time I'd like use a more sophisticated toy. A replica of an M-4 that is powered by a battery and shoots plastic pellets or BBs. They are toys for big boys and are as dangerous as the real thing if not used as intended and if the players are not protected adequately. These Automatic Electric Guns (AEG) shoot out pellets at incredible velocities. My M-4 chronos at 350 feet per second (fps)! They do sting and will break skin if you are lucky enough to be in its BB's path. There are ways also to increase the power by doing a little tweaking but must not be overdone.
