Pan de sal - redux

Last December 2007 I was saddened (Read) by the news that my beloved pan de sal was being pushed out of the reach of the "masa" (no pun intended). In 2007 the average cost of a piece of pan de sal was Ps. 2.50! I remember buying it for 25 centavos each (but that was ages ago). Now there's talk that the price of flour is due for another price increase.

I cringed when I read this -  "Yun pa rin ang presyo namin. Yung maliit na pandesal is P3.00 at yung malaki is P5.00..."   What?!  May sizes na ang pan de sal!
