Pledge of Love...

What's wrong with the younger generation is that they cannot verbalize their love to their parents. Even parents have a hard time verbalizing theirs too.

To a certain extent, I find this gesture quite sweet and touching. Deep down inside this vandal still recognizes the need to express love for parents.

  1. Hey,
You sort of made me feel guilty but you are very correct about our inability to say "we care" to our parents/children. That graffiti is indeed very touching.

  2. Happy New Year Bill Bilig!

Months ago, my father asked me to do a talk on present day parenting skills. I still am doing the research - what skills can we share (as parents of today).

  3. I kind of have trouble saying "I love you" to my parents too... I think it oftenly but I never have the heart to say it :-/ Why is this? I really like this snapshot though. Must buy a smaller camera for always having it with me when seeing things!

  4. Tinchen and Joselito,

Although they know it and we know it tha we really love each other, verbalizing it is quite challenging. Among us Filipinos open appreciation for parents and even siblings at times children too, can be nerve wracking. Sometimes we feel that it is corny and uncool. But it ain't too late to start, right? thanks.

  5. How true. It is hard for me too, to say I love you to my parents. I guess I make up for it with actions :)

  6. Hey Sayote Queen! As the adage goes - actions speak louder than words. But sometimes its nice to hear it from somebody who matters.
