The first few days in Bakersfield was a pleasant surprise. Fellow Filipinos really took care of us. They picked us up at the airport and drove us to interesting places around the city. In the photos are the places we visited and the people who made us feel great and made us feel proud that we are Filipinos. The word HOSPITALITY is not a mere word here - it's a practice and even a way of life. Thanks a million- Manong Roger, Manong Gerry and Manong Rudy. Of course, there are others who are not in the photos that we would like to thank, too: Manang Isabel, Manang Nona and the families that welcomed us. More of them later.
